What a Florida Keys Wedding Costs: Real Ranges for 2026
Venue, catering, entertainment and the guest side, with published ranges and the tax multiplier most couples miss.

The short answer
A Florida Keys wedding for around 100 guests typically runs $34,000 to $70,000 for the couple, excluding photography, florals and attire, which usually add another $12,000 to $25,000 in this market.
Your guests separately spend roughly $1,200 to $1,400 each over three nights.
Both numbers move a lot with season and island. Here is what drives them.
Venue and catering, the largest line
Three fundamentally different ways to host, from the Modern Era Weddings 2026 guide:
Private estate or villa. Event ready rental $9,800 to $40,000 and up. A single four to six bedroom house runs roughly $5,800 to $15,800 for three nights, but estates licensed to host a fifty plus guest wedding generally require the full compound plus a separate event fee starting around $2,500. Usually no food and beverage minimum, because you bring your own caterer. Note that most Key West residential rentals prohibit events outright, so estate weddings concentrate in Key Largo and Islamorada.
Boutique resort or historic property. Site fee $2,200 to $8,000. Food and beverage minimum $5,000 off peak to $15,000 on a weekend. In house catering and real infrastructure. Capacity generally tops out under 150.
Premium resort. Saturday site fee $5,000 to $12,000. Saturday food and beverage minimum $16,000 to $30,000. Everything in house from ceremony through farewell brunch, with room blocks attached. Some properties require a venue approved planner and event insurance as a condition of booking.
The multiplier almost nobody budgets for
Add a 22 to 25 percent service charge and 7.5 percent sales tax to every venue figure above.
At several Keys resorts that service charge applies to the venue rental as well as the food, and Florida taxes the service charge itself. So the real multiplier is closer to 1.34 than 1.33.
On a $20,000 food and beverage minimum, that is roughly $6,800 you did not plan for.
Public beaches and parks
A county beach, state park or historic fort can be the least expensive ceremony site in the Keys. It is also the one with the most paperwork.
Monroe County charges cleanup and dump fees on a published sliding scale: $50 for one to fifty people, $100 for fifty one to one hundred, and $100 plus $1 per person above that. Events over two hundred are priced at the discretion of the Director of Parks and Beaches.
County sites require a notarised hold harmless agreement and a certificate of liability naming Monroe County as certificate holder and additionally insured.
A ceremony inside a Florida state park needs a special use permit from that specific park, arranged directly with the park office. Lead times run from thirty days for a standard event to ninety for anything after hours.
Expect decor restrictions in writing: no nails or screws, no digging, nothing tied to vegetation, and no balloons, rice, glitter, confetti or loose petals.
One that catches people out: in Florida state parks alcohol is prohibited on beaches and in public picnic areas. A state park beach ceremony is a dry ceremony.
Entertainment and production
From the Modern Era Weddings 2026 rate card:
- DJ entertainment, from $2,500 as a full day rate. Unlimited hours across multiple locations at the same venue, all equipment, emcee duties, backup personnel.
- Live musicians, from $1,500. Violin, saxophone, percussion, guitar or keys, performing alongside your DJ.
- Reception enhancements, $550 each, with $100 off the package for every two chosen.
- Officiant and celebrant, from $450, including personalized script, unlimited consultations, on site rehearsal and all licensing and filing.
- Photo booths, $695 digital or $500 per hour for the 360 video booth with a three hour minimum.
- Interactive guest experiences, from $1,500 added to a DJ package.
Pricing depends on the specific DJ. Weekday rates are lower; ask.
The Saturday premium is real
Inside a full wedding week, the highest leverage decision you can make is not the venue. It is the day.
Anchoring the wedding to a Friday or Sunday, with the excursion and welcome party carrying the weekend, saves more than shopping a different venue ever will. Off peak weekday food and beverage minimums can be a third of a Saturday minimum at the same property.
What your guests pay
This is the budget nobody plans, and it is not yours.
Over three nights, sharing a room, a traveling guest spends roughly $1,200 to $1,400. Lodging is most of it, and it varies by season. On top of that, about $140 per person per night on food, drink, local transport and the things people actually do here, per the Monroe County Tourist Development Council visitor study. Then flights, averaging $387 into Key West, $346 into Miami and $269 into Fort Lauderdale.
For a couple traveling together, call it $2,500.
That number quietly decides how many people say yes.
Three nights is a planning assumption, not a sourced figure. Venue and rate ranges from the Modern Era Weddings Florida Keys Pricing and Services Guide 2026. Guest spending from the Monroe County Tourist Development Council with Rockport Analytics, 2025 Annual Results. Airfares from the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Every figure is an estimate, not a quote, and prices move.
